Headmaster's Message - Mr. MA Mokgalaka

At Highlands North Boys' High we know that we have to go beyond what the norm is in the academia world. It is my firm conviction that if you do just what everyone else does, you will not excel, you will not differentiate, you will not become a leader, you will just be like everyone else! Indeed we strive to create a conducive environment that enables our learners and educators to excel. When we look at everything we do, that is academic, sporting and cultural activities, we can safely say, the norm is not good enough.

We encourage our learners  to transcend the people and the places that hold us back. We can achieve this by pursuing excellence and being allergic to mediocrity. It is through excellence that our learners and educators can be recognised.

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote in an essay in 1871, "If a man can write a better book, or preach a better sermon or make a better mouse trap than his neighbour, even if he builds his house in the woods, the world will make a beaten path to his door."
